Metamorphosis - Monthly challenge

Monthly challenge #14Hello everyone! Here's our fourteenth monthly challenge. The intention is to draw things that you are not used to drawing (or may not draw very often), so the focus is not on prizes. Still, we hope that you will participate!
Rules:
You must be a member to enter.
You can make as many entries as you want.
Entries must comply with the group rules.
To enter, all you have to do is submit to the challenge folder.
Your entry must state that it is for this challenge.
You can not enter old art - meaning, anything drawn before today will not be accepted.
The challenge will end on January 30.
This month's theme is "Metamorphosis."
As long as the picture conveys the feeling of 'metamorphosis', anything goes!
It is not required to have a character in the picture, but it is allowe

So, the first animal I thought of was, of course, nothing other than a butterfly.
We all have had to grow up at some point - or most of us.
But instead of making progress, to me it feels often like we have to regress;
which is why I drew the little girl with butterfly wings, and her older self sort of wrapped into her blanket.

While often people have lots of energy and motivation as children, more open minded,
I feel we become more and more dull. Desensitised.
Separating us from our ideas, wishes, and former selves.
More often than not, the world feels more like something you want to hide from,
excuses over problems making working on things of passion harder.
And our ideas that surrounded us like beautiful butterflies
became horrifying moths staring at us;
becoming things on our to-do list rather than works of passion.

Or at least something along the lines I thought when drawing this
I'm really bad at explaining, but I really hope you enjoy it!

In any case though, I really wish for you all to find work that excites you and brings back out the child in you ^w^
Help one another out, and make this world less scary for one another!!!
(unless we talk horror games,  GIMME THE SCARES HECK YEAH!!!!)
